Dr. KOUSHIK Chattopadhyay (known just as KOUSHIK) was born and raised in a small town of Burnpur in West Bengal, India. Higher study was a demand of the society he grew up. So after completing his Masters in Biotechnology in India, he moved to University of Cape Town in South Africa to do a Ph.D. in Human Genetics. Upon completion he worked as a researcher and also a lecturer in different Universities in South Africa and also in the USA. Finally he moved to Los Angeles with a scientist position in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. This is when his deep passion for acting and writing got really fueled that he was hiding ever since his childhood.

He left his job and started pursuing acting on a full time basis. He specializes in different forms of comedy, sketch, improvisation and comedy acting. He quickly got noticed in Hollywood due to his uniqueness and great ability to execute comedy with perfect timing! He has acted in several feature films, TV shows, commercials, live plays and voice over projects.

He has worked in several feature films such as, “The Book of the Damned” where he plays an archaeologist, “I Believe” in which he plays a doctor, “Bloody Hands”, “Karma Dog” and “Above the High Road” are a few to name. He is well known for his role as Jamal Muti in “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders” (also worked as a translator) produced by ABC and Buddha in “The Story of God with Morgan Freeman” by National Geographic. He was the main lead for a Hewlett Packard commercial and have got a lot of great reviews for his comedic presence in the Free Credit Report and Zip Recruiter commercials. He has been working consistently with Xoom to give voice over for their commercials. He is often seen performing sketch comedies and improvisation shows in IO West Theater.
